World Premier Brown Swiss Sale

Thirty head sold for an average of $4850.00 going to 11 states plus Canada and Peru on October 5 in Madison, Wisconsin. The Brown Swiss breed again had the second highest average sale behind only the Holsteins.

Bringing top dollar was Lot 10 Nor-Bert Biver Sassy 10/16 at $9000.00 to Pine Tree Dairy, Marshallville, OH. She was consigned by Nor-Bert Farms, Bremen, IN. Sassy ranked #37t at +188 PPR on the current Heifer List. She is Biver’s highest daughter. Her high numbers were enhanced by a solid cow family. Sassy’s dam is V86/87 2yr Doubl Dare 31,386m, 2nd dam V86 36,970m 2yr, 3rd dam 2E91 43,750m and all are milking in the herd!

The Grand Champion cow of the 2017 International Show is the dam of Lot 6 Top Acres J Windy ET 12/16. Windy was the selection of Meier Meadows LLC, Ridott, IL at $8600.00. Offered by Wayne E. Sliker, St. Paris, OH. she is a Jongleur daughter of Top Acres Supreme Wizard ET 2E95/94m. Of note, Windy’s maternal sister was named Jr. Champion of the International Show on the day before. A dam and daughter banner sweep!

Lot 14 Kulp-Terra Daredevil Can ET 4/17 was next at $8200.00 to Tanner Mashek, Calmer, IA. Can had a CDCB ranking of +178 PPR +1316m. This early Daredevil is from Voelkers Brook Cara V89/90m the dam of several high genomic sons and daughters. Consigned by David, Anne Kulp & Dan, Laura Chard, Manheim, PA.
