New Record set for Guernsey Embryos
A new record was set at $1,800 per embryo for Guernsey embryos when Jim Woloohojian of Vermont won the bid for five IVF embryos offered on the Global Guernsey Marketing Facebook page out of Adams Creek AP Bianca and a Mutually Agreeable Sire on March 8. Contending bidder was the United Kingdom Syndicate. Bianca, the World Dairy Expo Intermediate Champion of the National Guernsey Show and Reserve Supreme Champion of the Junior Show is a VG-89 two-year-old. The offering was from the Nuttlemans of Wisconsin, owners of Bianca. The sale was facilitated by Global Guernsey Marketing and Guernsey Marketing Service. The highest demanded price for embryos was $1500 per embryo out of Springhill Mentor Jazzy, the Grand Champion of the World Dairy Expo 2017, sold during the International Classic Sale during the Expo, also purchased by the Woloohojians.
